Originally the unique Rolls-Royce Avon-powered version; the IIIO designation was also used by the Australian-built IIIE's. ex Mirage IIIO 01 with RR Avon Mk67 engine, 67 flights between Feb 1961 and Oct 1961. Updated to Mirage IIIE n°03 with ATAR 9C engine, first flight 31 March 1962. Out-of Service end 1976. Used by Dassault for in-flight refueling probe mock-up for Pakistan in 1978.
